Cataract and Glaucoma Surgeon

Dr Paul Sia is a highly skilled fellowship-trained cataract and glaucoma surgeon. He treats all forms of glaucoma, from mild to advanced, with different management strategies, including medication, lasers and surgery. On the other hand, Dr Sia is very well-versed in performing cataract surgeries and he often combines them with angle-based MIGS to treat patients who present with glaucoma. He also teaches and supervises cataract surgeries at the Royal Victorian Eye and Ear Hospital. Above all, Dr Sia is dedicated to understanding each patient’s unique needs and providing them with the highest standard of care.

Dr. Sia completed his medical degree at the University of Otago, New Zealand, in 2014, followed by a Master of Philosophy (Ophthalmology) at the University of Adelaide in 2018. Dr. Sia undertook specialist ophthalmology training in New Zealand, completing it in 2024. He then undertook further sub-specialist training through a Medical Retina and Cataract Surgery Fellowship at Monash Health, Melbourne, followed by a prestigious Surgical Glaucoma Fellowship at the Manchester Royal Eye Hospital in the United Kingdom. 

Outside medicine, Paul enjoys travelling, playing badminton, photography and serving in his local church community.

谢医生于2014年毕业于新西兰奥塔哥大学，获得医学学位，随后于2018年获得阿德莱德大学眼科学硕士学位。谢医生在新西兰完成了眼科专科培训，并于2024年毕业。之后，他在墨尔本莫纳什健康中心完成了视网膜和白内障手术专科培训，并在英国曼彻斯特皇家眼科医院完成了享有盛誉的青光眼手术专科培训。

工作之余，谢医生喜欢旅行、打羽毛球、摄影，并在当地教会服务。
